Introduction To Courage to be Chaste

"My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness" 2 Cor 12:9
Welcome to Courage to be Chaste
We have taken the wonderful God given gift of our sexuality and have distorted it to become a relationship with a mood altering experience in which we use to escape, enhance, alter, deny reality. Our habitual sinful obsession with lust and sexually self-destructive behaviors has driven us to the point of despair. We wanted to stop but we could not. We suffer from an addiction to lust; and addiction itself is a metaphor for sin.
The aim of Courage to be Chaste is to share with others that they can break free from the bondage of lust. There is a marvelous breakthrough that can be achieved if you are willing to take the actions to do so.
If we love lust more than Christ, we will continue to lust; when we seek to grow daily in our love for Christ our transformation from certain spiritual death to life will start to grow. We did not get here overnight. We have to develop a plan of action. It has to be a daily sustained effort of a systematic program of prayer, spiritual development and accountability.
By tapping into the rich resources of living the sacramental life of our Catholic faith, a willingness to follow directions from qualified Catholic therapists, spiritual advisers and/or accountability partners, we can surrender one temptation at a time and learn to live joyfully and free one day at a time.
If we are not in a loving relationship with our neighbor, we can not be in loving relationship with Christ. Thus our dilemma has been we have used our neighbor as objects to be lusted after.
Lust kills love.
